Natasha Mannion MSc

Bio

I'm a final year PhD student (submitting March 2025) studying mammal biodiversity responses to infrastructure expansion and hunting in Brunei Darussalam.

I'm based at Newcastle University, with supervisors at Universiti Brunei Darussalam and Durham University, and am funded by the IAPETUS DTP (NERC).

My research has involved ecological fieldwork (camera trapping, vegetation surveys, bioacoustic monitoring), social science (household surveys and interviews), statistical analysis and modelling (generalised linear models, Bayesian occupancy modelling, principle components analysis), spatial scenario modelling and working with remotely sensed data. I am also interested in EDI in fieldwork and science communication.
